Keep the sea Gods on your side

The only proper boat christening and re-naming ceremonies in Singapore

The legend behind the ceremony

According to legend, every vessel is recorded by name in the Ledger of the Deep, personally known to Neptune. To change a vessel’s name without consulting him is to invite storms, broken gear, and general nautical mischief.

When renaming a boat, the first task is to purge the old name from Neptune’s memory. Every trace of it must vanish – from logbooks to lettering – followed by a spoken ceremony to strike the name from the Ledger of the Deep. Only then may the renaming ceremony begin.

Once forgotten, the renaming ceremony begins: the new name is declared, champagne is offered to the sea, and a final ritual appeases the Gods of the Winds for fair breezes and calm seas.

(And yes, we really do it right here in Singapore!)

What we do for you

From pocket cruisers to superyachts, every boat gets equal reverence

Preparation - Dressed and Ready to Shine

We prepare your vessel for the big moment - flags raised, name covered, bottle hung in position. We set the stage so your boat looks her best for her debut under the watchful eye of Neptune

Ceremony - The Blessing and the Break

The heart of the ritual: a short invocation, a few words to the gods of the sea and wind, and the glorious crack of glass of champagne. We handle every step, ensuring good humour, good form, and good fortune

We capture the moment with photos, provide a personalised certificate, and raise a toast to safe voyages ahead. Every christening we conduct becomes part of Singapore’s growing tapestry of blessed boats – all properly recorded in the Ledger of the Deep

Legacy - Name revealed & journey begins

Because tradition keeps the Sea fair

A christening isn’t superstition; it’s gratitude.

It’s our way of paying respect to the ocean, the craftsmanship, and the people who sail.

These rituals remind us that even in a digital world, the sea still listens and a little ceremony never hurt anyone’s luck
